Joe is a founding partner and Co-Head of Fixed-Income Trading at SPFG. He works in managing some of the firm’s top client relationships, specializes in fixed-income trading and portfolio construction, is a member of the investment committee, and pens many of the firm’s client communication pieces.
Joe has worked in the industry for over 25 years. Before forming SPFG, he worked in a similar capacity as Managing Director at Raymond James in Atlanta, where he managed client relationships, oversaw fixed-income trading, and developed content for distribution to clients. Prior to that, he held similar roles within Morgan Keegan & Co., First Union Capital Markets, McDonald Investments, and Register and Akers Investments in Atlanta, among others.
Joe earned his Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He moved to Atlanta in 1998 to begin his career and resided there for 17 years before moving back to his hometown in upstate NY, where he now lives with his wife, Kate, and daughter, Maya.
Joe is currently serving as President of the Board of Education for the Hoosick Falls Central School District, where he has given his time for the past 9 years. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Joe enjoys traveling, cooking, skiing, and a variety of other outdoor activities
